Information about school transport

Students in pre-school or compulsory school can get school transport. You can only get school transport between your home and your school. To get school transport you need to meet certain conditions. Below you can read about how to either apply for a bus card or school transport with taxi.

• Make sure to fill out your application form accurately, otherwise the processing time will be longer.
• The Municipality controls that the information that has been given is correct.
• School transport is organised only between the student’s home and the student’s school according to when the school day normally begin and end.
• School transport is not granted to och from leisure-time centre.
• School transport is primarily organized with public transport.
• School transport is organized with taxi when a student for some reason cannot use public transport.
• A student who chooses a different school than the one they have been placed in by Håbo Municipality does not have the same right to school transport as students who choose to go to the school they have been placed in by Håbo Municipality
• A student who lives temporarily in Håbo and has a UT-card or LMA-card has right to school transport on the same conditions as students who are nationally registered in Håbo.
• You cannot get school transport to a guardian who lives in another municipal.
• The possibilities to get school transport can change between school years.
• If you need to change the information filled out in an application you have already handed in, you need to need hand in a new application.
• School transport can be withdrawn if the conditions are changed.
• We control that the decision regarding school transport is implemented.
• People with protected identity should not use online services. Instead, you should contact Håbo Municipality contact centre for information regarding how to apply for school transport.
